Now we move on to configure our Compression Options. Start by going to EAC -> Compression Options.

On this screen we should choose "Windows MSAudio Encoder" or "Microsoft Wave Routines" or something similar. The point is that we want to create a wave file, as opposed to MP3 or whatever else. I'm not sure what it will be called on your system, but it's important to note that "Windows Media Audio" is not for wave files.

The sample format should be 128kbps, 44.1 kHz, stereo (This is CD quality. Trying to burn CD tracks at a different sample rate will not work.)

On this screen you can set it up to automatically create mp3's from the wave files you create. This isn't important for us right now, but it's good to know. For making wave files, this box must be left unchecked.

The remaining two tabs also pertain to mp3 creation. So we don't need to worry about them right now.
