Terrarum Room support

Room

Room is an AUv3 audio effect for iOS that adds driven room reverb, designed for techno and industrial music.

Quick start

  1. Open your Audio Unit host.
  2. Add Room as an AUv3 audio effect to your track.
  3. Adjust MODE for your desired room character.
  4. Use TIME for decay length and BLEND for wet/dry mix.
Note: Room processes audio. Insert it directly on an audio or instrument track.

Knob guide

MODE
Selects tight-room, balanced chamber, or sub-rumble flavors
TIME
Controls decay and sustain length
SMEAR
Diffusion energy: low = clear, high = evolving fog
DRIVE
Saturation on reverb tail only
BLEND
Wet/dry mix for parallel processing
DUCK
Envelope follower attenuates reverb on loud input

Common questions

  • Too muddy: Lower LOW END, raise FILTER, or reduce SMEAR.
  • Losing transients: Increase DUCK to pump the reverb down when input is loud.
  • Tail too short: Raise TIME for longer decay.
  • Not enough grit: Increase DRIVE to saturate the reverb tail.
  • Sub-bass reinforcement: Set MODE toward rumble, raise LOW END above 0.3.

Third-party software

Room incorporates DSP algorithms from Airwindows by Chris Johnson, released under the MIT License.
