Terrarum Console support

Console

Console is an AUv3 audio effect for iOS that adds console-style saturation and distortion. Use it on synth or drum bus tracks to add warmth, punch, and cohesive analog character.

Quick start

  1. Open your Audio Unit host.
  2. Add Console as an AUv3 audio effect to your track.
  3. Choose a mode: Synth Bus for pads and leads, Drum Bus for drums and bass.
  4. Adjust DRIVE to add saturation, use MIX to blend with dry signal.
Note: Console processes audio. Insert it directly on an audio or instrument track.

Knob guide

Common questions

  • Too much distortion: Lower MIX before lowering DRIVE to preserve the tone.
  • Muddy low end: Enable HPF and adjust TIGHT to tighten the bass.
  • Harsh highs: Lower BITE or reduce CHARACTER.
  • High CPU usage: Set OS to Off or Eco for lighter processing.
  • Latency: OS Std adds ~12 samples, HQ adds ~14. Use Eco or Off for minimum latency.

Third-party software

Console incorporates the MackEQ algorithm from Airwindows by Chris Johnson, released under the MIT License.

MackEQ provides the console-style 3-band EQ with distinctive saturation that forms the core of Console's character.
